A Perfect Healthy Dessert (raw vegan & paleo)

You can never go wrong with Strawberries dipped in Chocolate. This combination, when made with natural real ingredients of course, is so simple and one of the healthiest treats you can have.

What’s that? You don’t believe me?

Well, let’s see.

Strawberries, as we all know, are one of the healthiest berries we can eat. High in anti oxidants, low in sugar, and weight friendly they make a perfect quick refreshing snack or treat at the end of the day.

Remember my old post on the amazing and maaany health benefits of pure chocolate? It is the commercialized chocolates that are filled with calorically dense and inflammatory processed ingredients. It’s a tragedy how much we have denatured pure chocolate and have come to fear it for our health and weight. It’s truly a sacred food and a food that ancient cultures cherished.

This combination is just so simple and brilliant. Pair the Strawberries with a good quality dark Chocolate fudge to make a vibrant treat that you will feel good after eating it. These two super foods really make the perfect healthy treat.

I used a Chocolate Butterscotch fudge from Edible Goddess. Oh, is she good at putting so much love and nourishing ingredients in her raw super food chocolates. She has vegan chocolates as well as non-vegan Chocolates in which she uses raw local honey. If you’d like to take a look at the ingredients she uses in her chocolates and the beautiful woman behind them have a visit to her etsy website: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ediblegoddess The texture and taste of her chocolates are incredible.

If you’d like to make your own raw vegan chocolate fudge, you can try the following two recipes!

-1 tablespoon Almond Butter

-1 tablespoon raw Cacao Powder

-1 tablespoon Maple Syrup

Mix well in a little bowl. Serve right away.

-1/4 cup raw cacao powder

-1/4 cup room temperature (not cold from the fridge) maple syrup

-1/2 tablespoon warm and melted extra virgin Coconut Oil

Mix well in a little bowl. Serve right away.

If by any chance the chocolate sauce with the coconut oil begins to harden too much, you can set it on top of warm water to bring it back to the fudge consistency. Coconut Oil will harden as it begins to cool.

Enjoy! I sprinkled a little bit of extra Cacao powder on top of the Strawberries.
